Prof. I.A.C. Mbachu
Prof. I.A.C. Mbachu is the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Science. A distinguished academic and visionary leader, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the natural sciences, research leadership, and academic mentorship.
Her tenure as Dean is marked by a strong commitment to academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and fostering a dynamic learning environment. Prof. Mbachu continues to inspire both faculty and students to pursue innovation, discovery, and impactful contributions to science and society.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences (FNS) at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) is a beacon of knowledge and innovation in the scientific disciplines. Established in May 2014, the faculty aims to address the educational needs of both undergraduate and postgraduate students while improving their scientific literacy.
Through quality teaching, rigorous research, and community outreach, the FNS prepares its students to become ethical, innovative, and lifelong learners.

Established in May 2014, the Faculty of Natural Sciences has undergone significant development. Past and present Deans, including Prof. C.C. Anene, Prof. A.U. Onochie, and Prof. I.A.C. Mbachu, have guided the faculty towards excellence.
